Today's students are the future leaders and members of tomorrow's families, workplaces, and communities. Family and Consumer Science courses help students learn skills necessary to manage adult challenges of living and working in a diverse, global society.
Hello, my name is LeaAnne Bot. I am privileged to teach students important life-long skills in the area of Family and Consumer Sciences. Courses that I teach include:
7th and 8th Grade FACS, Child Development, Creative Crafts, Career Planning, Innovative Foods, ProStart Foods I & II.
I have been teaching in Minneota since 2001. Prior to teaching at MHS I was a Corporate Home Economist in the food industry working with Marketing and Research & Development. It has been rewarding to bring real world professional experiences into the classroom.
Blackduck (one word, say it fast, no pause) is my hometown and yes, that is "way up North", about an hour from Canada. Continuing the family tradition of educators (my Dad and two sisters), I received my BS degree in Vocational Home Economics Education from the University of North Dakota. I also have a MS degree in Food and Nutrition from North Dakota State University. |
