I was hired as the Business Education Instructor at Minneota Public School in 1980. This was my first position after graduating from Mankato State University that spring.
My husband is Rick Bot of this area and we have four daughters who have attended Minneota Public School.
Teaching is an important part of my life and I enjoy it very much. I believe that all students should have the opportunity to learn and grow throughout their high school experience. To me this means being introduced to a wide range of courses, not only core subjects but a variety of electives as well. The offerings at Minneota Public are good and should be taken advantage of by all students.
In the spring of 2008 I earned my Masters Degree in Educational Media and Technology. My reason for doing this was to provide the Minneota School System with a qualified media specialist. Since 2009 I have spent part of each day managing the libraries of Minneota Public School. I believe this is a crucial learning area for all students to develop -- learning to find and use pertinent information. That's what our world is all about today in our 21st century! |
