My name is Renae Hanson.  I am a 2nd grade teacher
at Minneota Public School.  I was born in Milbank,
SD, and I grew up on a farm near Wilmot, SD.  I
attended Wilmot Public Elementary and High School.
After graduation, I attended SMSU in Marshall, MN,
where I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Elementary Education with a minor in art.  After
graduating from SMSU, I accepted my current position
as 2nd grade teacher at Minneota Elementary.

I enjoy working with Minneota Public's dedicated staff.  Teaching second graders is challenging, but very rewarding.  The students' sense of wonder and enthusiasm for learning makes my job worthwhile.  I feel fortunate to be able to make a difference in the lives of children each day.
 
In 2004, I obtained my master of arts in education degree from St. Mary’s University of Minneapolis - Marshall, MN Cohort.  I also obtained my K-12 education administration licensure from St. Mary’s University in 2007.  My future plans include the possibility of obtaining an elementary principal position or an assistant high school principal position.
