Welcome
to
Fourth Grade! |
{Nancy Nordquist, 4th} |
I was raised in a small town in Iowa, and graduated with honors from my hometown high school. I attended Worthington Community College, and graduated with honors with an Associate of Arts degree. At that time I transferred to what was then Southwest State University. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education two years later.
Following graduation, I was hired in Estelline, South Dakota. I taught fifth grade for one year. Next I moved to Canby and taught at St. Peter's Catholic School for the next 7 years. While there, I taught third and fourth grades. For the following 8 years I worked in my family business and raised two children. In the fall of 1996, I returned to teaching as a part time teacher in the Canby Public School teaching sixth, fourth, and second grades. In 1998, I came to Minneota Public School to teach fourth grade. I truly enjoy teaching. Throughout the years I have found teaching to be a challenging, but exciting profession. My goal is to help each student achieve their personal best.
My husband, Dane, graduated from Minneota Public School a “couple” of years ago! We have 2 children. Our son, Justin lives in Alexandria and works for Heartland Health Services as a computer technician. Our daughter, Nicole, is a sophmore at SDSU in Brookings.
