As a native to the Elrosa, MN area, I attended and graduated from Belgrade Brooten Elrosa High School in 1996.  While in high school, I was a three sport athlete, a member of the national honor society, a peer tutor, a DARE role model, and a member of the band.  After high school, I attended Moorhead State University majoring in elementary education.

After attaining my Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Moorhead State University in 2000, I received my first teaching job in Minneota.

Over the past nine years, I have taught 3rd, 4th, and currently 2nd grade.  I really enjoy working with the students and staff at our school.  They are truly amazing and caring people.  Minneota Elementary provides many great opportunities for our students to achieve success both in and out of the classroom.  I love being a teacher because I really enjoy the students and want to provide an environment where every student is successful!

For the past eight years, I have been the junior high and junior varsity softball coach.    Through this coaching experience, I have enjoyed working with the fine, young athletes here at the Minneota Public School.  I strongly believe that by participating in after school activities, students can develop positive, personal qualities they can use throughout their lives.  

My husband, Mike, and I live in Ghent with our daughter, Ireland, and our son, Creed.  We enjoy attending sporting events, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing on the lake.
