The Minneota Chapter of the National Honor Society is an affiliate of the Minnesota Association of Honor Societies and the National Honor Society Organization through NAASP.
 
Students are selected to become members based on their academic achievement, service to the school and community, leadership and character.
 
Junior and Senior students with a G.P.A. of 3.3 or higher are invited to submit an collection of informational essays to the faculty committee for review.
 
Currently the Minneota Chapter has 12 members.
 
The next induction of new members will take place in the fall of 2009.
 
The Minneota NHS strives to complete one service activity each month from October to April. In addition, each member is required to complete 5 hours of individual service each year.
 
Meetings take place during the high school lunch period in the art room on Tuesdays. Additional meetings may be scheduled as needed.

The purpose of KIDS AGAINST HUNGER is to organize volunteers to package specially designed, fully nutritious meals.  These packaged meals are distributed to hungry children and their families where there is a need.  Together we can make a difference in the lives of millions of children all over the world!
