Dance Team

The Vikettes are coached by Tegan Sonnenburg. 

Minneota High School has had a competing dance team since 1996-1997.  Previous to that, the Vikettes were a pom pon squad who did several routines a year at football and basketball games. 

This year the team is performing a high kick dance routine.  The team will be performing this dance at home basketball games and will compete at six competitions this year.  There are different teams at each competition.  Usually the girls are competing against 8 or 10 other teams.  The New London/Spicer Competition was large with 14 teams in the High Kick Class A division. 

Dance is a subjective sport and the winners of the competitions are determined by four or more judges.
