Wheelchair
Basketball Coming to Minneota on December 8, 2007
The Jr.
Rolling Timberwolves will be at the Minneota High School gym playing ball against
The SMSU Rolling Mustangs. Following that game, the Rolling
Timberwolves will play against local teams.
It will be a great opportunity to watch our own local
wheelchair basketball star, senior Kyle Timmerman.
There will
be a supper (5:00 pm) before the basketball games which will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Minneota Dollars for Scholars began in 2002 and since then, this
organization has given over 150 Minneota High School students
assistance with their post-secondary education by awarding over
$50,000 in scholarships. Dollars for Scholars is a national network
of volunteers who have joined together in their communities to
provide local students with financial aid and academic support. If
you would like further information regarding the program, you may
access their website at:
www.scholarshipamerica.org.
In order for the
program to grow and continue offering scholarships to Minneota High
School students, we are developing a perpetual fund.
Every dollar donated
through this program will directly assist a MHS graduate in meeting
their educational goals. Any amount is welcome at any time.
The Dollars for Scholars
Committee and the Minneota High School students would like to thank
you for your support and assistance in building this valuable
program. If you have any questions, contact Dawn Van Keulen
at 507.872.5106 or
dawnvk@starpoint.net.
