Health Education 7 Boys and Girls Required

The course includes health in relation to social, emotional, and physical development. Some units are on smoking ,drugs and alcohol. Personal health includes care of teeth, eyes and hears and other body systems. Consumer, community and environmental health are included. Health careers are discussed. AIDS is dealt with on an introductory basis. Decision Making8 Physical Education and Fitness.

          Health Education 8 Boys and Girls Required

Health 8 related topic includes: mental and social health, nutrition substance use and abuse, communicable and non-communicable diseases, safety and first aid. AIDS Education is also presented. Students  discuss the importance of choices and taking control of ones own personal health. Decision-Making 8 Personal Health- Resources Management- Personal Resource and group Resource.

  Health Education 9 Boys and Girls Required

Students will study social problems and their impact on the health and welfare of adolescents. Topics to be emphasized includes: mental and social health, growth and development, body system, substance use and misuse, along with outside topics general interest. Child development will be the primary component of this program and will deal with the understanding of young children, how they develop and influence of culture, media and technology on health.

  Health Education 10 Boys and Girls Required 

The units covered in this course are nutrition, substance use and dependency, family life issues, disease prevention, sex education, sexually transmitted disease, environment and your health, and public and consumer health protection. Students will be required to successfully demonstrate ability to administer first aid and CPR to receive certification. Students are also required to do on in -depth research paper on a health topic of their choice.
