I was hired as a Special Education teacher at Minneota Public School in 1991.  I had also taught at St. Edward’s, Lynd, and the Marshall school districts.  Since I am a graduate of the Minneota Public School, my heart has always been in Minneota so it is great to feel at home.

Norm and I have lived most of our married lives in Minneota.  He works at ADM in Marshall but we have lived in the same house for 21 years.  Our three children all graduated from Minneota High School.

Together we enjoy fishing, lake life, and spending time with our children and grandchildren.  Alone I enjoy traveling to many different countries and so far I have been on three trips with high school students and I am looking forward to the fourth trip to Mexico this summer.

The reason I am a teacher is that I enjoy students and want to empower them to become the best they can be as well as make positive choices in life.  Each day is a challenge for both teacher and student which makes my job one of the best jobs as well as the most rewarding.

Most of my classes are individualized according to the needs and abilities of each student that I work with.  I do feel that my workday does not end at the end of the school day and do welcome calls after hours at my home.
