NOTICE: Absentee Voting is Open in the District OfficeAugust 22, 2017 Building Bond ElectionCommunity MeetingRegarding August 22nd Bond ElectionWhere: Minneota Public SchoolWhen: Monday, August 14, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.Details: Building Tour & Informational MeetingOn May 16, 2017, the Minneota School Board passed a resolution calling for a special building bond election to be held on August 22, 2017 at the Minneota Public School. The School Board chose to hold the election in August because, if approved, it would allow them to receive bids before the end of 2017, thus, getting the best bids possible. If bids were received in 2018, trends typically have shown the prices to be 5-7% higher.

The School Board narrowed the scope of the bond to focus on those items they deemed necessary to properly maintain our building. The total request of the bond for the projects listed above will not exceed 5.25 million dollars. The School Board will be scheduling several town hall meeting dates in July and August to allow people to come to the school and look at the areas being proposed for improvement. We hope each of you will take the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the scope of the project. Also at these meetings the projected tax impact will be shared along with a question and answer session.
