Mrs. Kaley Buysse

I was born and raised in Fargo, ND. I attended and graduated from Fargo North High School in 2006. After high school I attended Jamestown College where I majored in Elementary Education and played volleyball. After a year of collegiate volleyball I transitioned into being an assistant volleyball coach at the high school for the Jamestown Blue Jays. After graduating from Jamestown College with my Bachelors Degree in elementary education, I received my first teaching job in Enderlin, ND (45 miles SW of Fargo) teaching 4th grade. I was also the Assistant Girls Basketball coach and the Junior High Volleyball coach.I spent a year there before moving out to Colorado Springs, CO with my husband, Matt Buysse. I taught 6th grade reading, math and writing, at Janitell Junior High. I continued my coaching career by coaching 8th Grade Volleyball and coaching for the Colorado Classix Volleyball Club in the spring! This allowed me the opportunity to travel with my team to tournaments in Arizona and Texas. During my time in Colorado I received my Masters of Science degree in Elementary Education through the online program at University of North Dakota.

My husband, Matt, and I quickly realized that being away from family was a price we weren't willing to continue to pay! I began applying for jobs back around the Minneota area and got lucky enough to land a job as the 5th grade Math and Science Teacher here at Minneota Elementary School and an Assistant Girls Volleyball Coach. This year I have transition to being the 5th/6th grade math teacher! This will be my 5th year teaching in Minneota, and my 8th year teaching.  I truly enjoy working with the staff, students, and athletes here at Minneota. I have such a passion for working with students and athletes and pushing them to be the best that they can be. I hope to instill a love of learning that will last a lifetime in each child's life. I believe in building strong student/teacher relationships in and out of the classroom.

During my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Matt, our son, Ryker (11 Months Old), playing with our dogs (Nala and Aspen), coaching, going to athletic events, being at the lake, spending time with my family (nieces and nephews), and being able to sit down and get lost in a good book.

My Husband Matt and I are expecting our 2nd little boy the first week of February, and we could not be more excited!
