Degrees and Certifications:
I have been teaching in Minneota since 2001. Prior to teaching at MHS I was a Corporate Home Economist in the food industry working with Marketing and Research & Development. It has been rewarding to bring real world professional experiences into the classroom. As the advisor of Family, Community, Career Leaders of America (FCCLA) I am continuosly impressed by the quality of student projects and personal and leadership development.
Blackduck (one word, say it fast, no pause) is my hometown and yes, that is "way up North", about an hour from Canada. Continuing the family tradition of educators (my Dad and two sisters), I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Vocational Home Economics Education from the University of North Dakota. I also have a Master of Science degree in Food Science and Nutrition from North Dakota State University.
My husband Neal and I enjoy the many blessings of raising our three children, Allison, Nicholas and Natalie on our family farm. I
