National Honor Society

Advisor: Angela Lauer

The Minneota Chapter of the National Honor Society is an affiliate of the Minnesota Association of Honor Societies and the National Honor Society Organization through NAASP. The purpose of this organization is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students at MHS.

Students are selected to become members based on their academic achievement, service to the school and community, leadership and character.  Junior and Senior students with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher are invited to submit a collection of informational essays to the faculty committee for review. If you are interested in joining, please see Ms. Lauer.

The next induction of new members will be held in the spring.

The Minneota NHS strives to complete one service activity each month from September to April. In addition, each member is required to complete 15-20 hours of individual service each year.
