• Welcome to 5th/6th grade Math class! I will be teaching math to all the 5th and 6th graders this year, but I am also a 6th grade homeroom teacher.  We will be building off a lot of skills learned in previous grades as well as learning many, many new skills!! It will take some patience, and willingness from the kids, but together we will build success! I'm excited to be able to focus on making this year a success and see the kids grow in their mathematic abilities!

    Math Gives us hope

Teaching your child is a tremendous responsibility, and I will do my best to ensure that each student has a safe and motivating learning experience in this upcoming year. However, I cannot do this without the help of you, the parents. We are partners in the learning process!

I believe having a strong parent/teacher communication line is key to the success of the students.  Please don't hesitate to contact me at anytime through email or phone.  I will do my best to respond to you as soon as I am able to.   I encourage you to follow our class facebook page,  "Mrs. Buysse's Young Minded Mathematicians", to stay up to date with things happening within our classroom!
